Extracurricular Activities

Sports

• Boys Flag Football - practice will begin in August and the season will end in October
• Girls Volleyball - practice will begin in August and the season will end in October
• Girls Basketball - practice will begin in November and the season will end in February
• Boys Basketball - practice will begin in November and the season will end in February
• Cheerleading ⁄ Dance - will coincide with Basketball season and is only open to students in middle school (grades 6th, 7th, 8th)
• Co-Ed Soccer - practice will begin in March and the season will end in May
• Tennis - there will be one tournament in May
• Girls and Boys Golf - there will be one tournament in May
• Girls and Boys Track - there will be one track meet in May

Note: All sports, with the exception of Cheerleading, will be divided into two teams - a 5/6th grade team and a 7/8th grade team.
Note: Some tournaments are played on Friday nights and Saturdays.   AJA will not participate in those events.

Austin Jewish Academy Maccabee athletes are most importantly student athletes and members of the Jewish community.   They maintain an 80 in each of their classes.

Scholastic

AJA is proud to host student-led, extracurricular scholastic clubs this year. Students are welcome and encouraged to form all-inclusive, teacher-supervised, academic clubs of their choice.

AJA participates in the Private School Interscholastic Association (PSIA) annual academic competition.
