Jesse Castro

Jesse Castro

The ever–juggling Jesse Castro teaches middle school Algebra, Geometry and 5th through 8th grade science. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Mr. Castro has been teaching for 18 years and likes to say he began his career on the mean streets of Los Angeles as a bright–eyed public middle school teacher. Mr. Castro moved to Austin from Paris, France where he had the opportunity to teach at the American School of Paris. With friends, he has recently started the Austin Ice Cream Festival, a benefit event for local charities centered around family, friends, fun and ice cream. Mr. Castro lives with his three cats and wife. He is a talented juggler who also plays music, draws and paints. Mr. Castro loves working with his students and seeing them learn, develop, and grow both academically and as individuals.
