Ilene Novy

Mrs. Novy is beginning her third year as AJA's third grade teacher. With 11 years of classroom teaching, she is very proud to call herself "an educator." After graduating from L.S.U. with a BA in psychology and a minor in child development, Mrs. Novy worked as a play therapist. After moving to Austin, she decided the classroom was "calling her name" so she returned to school and received her teaching degree from St. Edwards University. Mrs. Novy is certified to teach 1st through 8th grade as well as Gifted and Talented. She has been happily married to Austinite, Brian Novy, for 24 years and they have three children: Blake (22), Brooke (19) and Brandon (15). The Novy Family is also very proud of their 2 dogs and three cats.
