Sharon Swedlow

AJA Business Officer, Sharon Swedlow, has a B.S. in Accounting from Oklahoma City University, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. After a 20 year career as a software engineer with Schlumberger Well Services, she dusted off her accounting degree and pursued a second career as a financial manager. In this capacity, she has worked with the Austin Film Society, served as Treasurer for the Child Development Center at Congregation Beth Israel, and performed accounting work for several non–profit organizations. Nine years ago she decided to follow her heart and daughter to the AJA. She has served as the Business Officer ever since. This year, Ms. Swedlow begins her tenth year with the Academy and is the parent of a seventh-grader in the school and a recent AJA graduate.
