Orit Yehezkel-Ruiz

Orit Yehezkel–Ruiz, has been teaching Hebrew and Judaics at AJA long enough to boast a long lineage of Hebrew speaking graduates, several of whom who have gone on to high school with four years of language credit under their belts. An Israeli, she is a graduate of Tel-Aviv University whose passion is picking up languages and exploring the process of language acquisition. According to family history, she herself has been speaking since the age of one. Mrs. Yehezkel–Ruiz's personal goal is "to turn America into a bilingual nation." Ms. Yehezkel–Ruiz was recently awarded the Grinspoon–Steinhardt award for excellence in Jewish education. This is Orit's 12th year teaching at AJA.
