We continue to work on our Mask of the dead in our unit on ancient Egypt. We started out by looking several Masks of the dead in ancient Egyptian art, Nefertiti, Cleopatra and Tutankhamen. We then learnt how to make a grid and draw our own Mask. Once done, we colored and painted in water color crayons and added accents in liquid gold and bronze.
Every year the AJA National Junior Honor Society dedicates numerous hours to school and community service projects. This spring, the NJHS is proud to present the Pho Pho Fun Fest! The NJHS students have been busy making the ceramic bowls. Each student then decorated a bowl, which was then fired and glazed.
