3rd grade, Art Cafe, Ms. Slom

3rd grade has been working on an introduction to clay unit. The students started by learning how to make pinch pots and each student made one and decorated it with markings and color. We also discussed how each pinch pot is a unique and an individual creation just like each one of the students in their class is a unique and individual creation, all are beautiful (pinch pots and children )This way we celebrated diversity.

We read the brush of the gods by Lenore Look, and will be making dragons in clay to celebrate the Chinese new year.

Students have completed their unique, one-of-a-kind art project that will be available for purchase at our silent auction at the annual School Gala on February 20th, 2016.
