The 4th grade students learnt about the Scream that painted in 1893 by German Expressionist artist Edward Munch (1863-1944).

Students then chose a cartoon character of their preference and designed it just like the figure in the “Scream”. After drawing out the figure, they colored it in marker and then added the background in chalk pastels. It was a fun art project and the students enjoyed the process.

Stephan Bucher (1973- ), Graphic artist and illustrator, also famous for his Blot monster art was the inspiration for our next fun art project. After splattering india ink on a piece of paper and then spreading it with “Dust off” the compressed air duster. The students then created their own Blot monsters by adding features to their india ink blots and some color.
