Photography – Students first took many photographs of their science projects with their phones or AJA I-pads. Once they had chosen which photograph they wanted to produce, They downloaded it onto google drive so they were able to upload it into GIMP. With the help of Mr. Zeigler students then learnt to use GIMP. This is a windows graphic program. (an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program) It is a free and open-source raster graphics editor  used for image retouching and editing, free-form drawing, resizing, cropping, photo-montages, converting between different image formats, and more specialized tasks.

Once the students had completed manipulating their photographs, they were sent to be professionally printed and framed. The photographs were on display during the Science Expo and will be hanging on the stairwell walls above the lobby in the near future.

Our next art project will be a “Trash to treasure’s family tree”.
