Final Words From Fourth Grade

The Fourth Grade 5K exceeded all my expectations. The sun was shining, oodles of parents came to support the runners in various ways, and the children embraced their goal with an enthusiasm that I have grown to expect and appreciate from this amazing class. Thank you to all of you who participated in this memorable experience!

The Senior Pen Pal Ice Cream Social was a wonderful way to culminate our year -long program. The students were so proud to present the biographies to the senior pals and introduce their parents to their senior friends.

We continue to embrace our learning time in the science lab. This week we examined physical and chemical changes of matter. Students were give 6 mystery powders to investigate. After running various tests on the powders, the students were able to identify not only the chemical and physical changes, but also the identity of the powder.

Well, it is hard to believe that the year is over. I can honestly say that this was one of the most memorable years I have ever had. I have forged lasting relationships with this group of children that I will always treasure. This class has that certain magic, a chemistry that combines just the right amount of camaraderie and competition, so that the children are excited to work hard, but support one another while doing it. Each and every one of their unique personalities has a chance to shine in this group of learners and friends. You are all very lucky to have found such a wonderful community for your child.
