First Grade Spring Happenings

By in ,

We are enjoying the beautiful spring weather and learning lots about plants including studying their life cycles, how they make their own food (photosynthesis), and pollination.  We visited Zilker Botanical Garden to see many plants and pollinators first-hand and enjoyed a picnic lunch at the park afterwards.  Thanks to all of our drivers and chaperones for helping make it a great experience and to everyone who shared their pictures from our trip!

In addition, we are busy preparing our 1st grade cultural plays for this Friday.  We look forward to seeing you all either for our dress rehearsals during Asayfat Boker on Friday or at our final performances at 1:45.  Ms. Faris’ class will be presenting “The Legend of the Bluebonnet” as part of the class’ Native American culture studies and Ms. Fox’s class will be presenting “The Blind Men and the Elephant” as part of their India studies.
