Jewish Studies - Feb - 6th

By in ,

Sixth grade is continuing to read the book of Shmot (Exodus) and the story of Moses, Aaron, Pharaoh, and the people of Israel. We have had several great discussions about the fairness (or lack thereof) to the general Egyptian population who had to also suffer through the plagues, and at what point the Egyptians should have tried to change Pharaoh’s mind. We are also talking about the leadership styles of Moses, Aaron, and Pharaoh, and what they can teach us about being leaders in the community.

In addition, 6th grade is continue to practice their own leadership skills during “Second grade buddy time” on Fridays where they are teaching their buddies prayers and helping them build their skills by going slowly and giving them individualized attention.
