Jewish Studies - First Grade

A Happy Healthy New Year to all.  It is so much fun to talk about the birthday of the world and what kind of present could possibly be given to the world.  Not only have we learned about apples and honey but we also sang about Eretz Zavat Halav (u’dvash) – the Land Flowing with Milk and Honey.  In parsha Ha’azinu we compare Torah to a tree of life.  We brainstormed words that have to do with Judiasm that such a tree would have as leaves and will be displaying the tree on a bulletin board in the near future.  Next week we will be talking about Jonah and the Giant Fish as well as reading about Tashlich and learning to say, “I’m sorry”.
