Jewish Studies - First Grade

By in ,

Since returning from break we have begun our study of the second book of the Torah – Shemot (in Hebrew, means names); in English the book of Exodus.  We reviewed the relationship between Joseph and the Pharaoh from Genesis where there was a better relationship than what we will encounter with the Pharaoh of Moses’ time.  We spoke about the idea of the Israelites needing to trust Moses to keep them safe and that Pharaoh proved that he could not be trusted because he kept going back on his word.  The 10 plagues were completed in Parashat Bo so we should be well-informed for the holiday of Pesach when it occurs in April.  Speaking of April, please put on your calendars that 8:30 a.m. on April 6th will be first grade’s Siddur Ceremony in the Chapel of Congregation Agudas Achim.
