Kinder artists had fun making arm/hand print tree trunks in brown tempera paint and finger print blue/yellow and green leaves on their tree trunks to celebrate Tu’bishvat by creating spring trees on paper. They completed their paintings by adding a horizon line and grass to their spring images. We also discussed how each tree is a unique and an individual creation just like each one of the students in the class is unique and an individual creation, all are beautiful (trees and children )This way we celebrated diversity.
Last week we celebrated the Chinese new year by reading: Zen Ties by Jon Muth and painting white panda bears on black paper.
Kinder students have completed their unique, one-of-a-kind art project that will be available for purchase at our silent auction at the annual School Gala on February 20th, 2016.
