We have completed our colorful butterflies using a simple rubbing technique and have moved forward to completing our own bedrooms, inspired by Vincent Van Gogh 1853-1890). The children used the same point of view to paint them with water color paints.
We are now working on our Judaic/Art integration Passover Plate project. This platter will depict the 10 plagues inflicted on Pharaoh’s people.
Our next art project will further explore straight and curvy line art. We will be drawing our favorite cuddly animal in curvy lines and its patchwork quilt blanket in straight lines by using a ruler. We will also learn how to use color to create a checker board effect.
Recycled Items Needed
Many of our art projects are made with recycled items: The art room is in need of unused CD’s, empty plastic water bottles, soda bottles, milk containers, glass wine bottles, corks and lids, cereal boxes and newspapers. Please bring to the Art Room (Room 230).
