After a successful year of managing the COVID-19 pandemic, AJA is roaring back for the 2021-2022 academic year.
At the advice of the AJA Health Task Force, school leadership has adopted a strategy of layering mitigation efforts to keep our students, teachers, and their families safe. This fall, AJA will require facemasks of all people on campus regardless of vaccination status. We are conducting regular surveillance testing at school at no campus to families. Surveillance testing has proven to be an effective tool in catching asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic infections. All snacks and meals will be taken outdoors. We will offer optional online learning for families interested. These are just a few of the strategies we have adopted to combat COVID-19 on our campus. To learn more about our plan, please contact the school office at 512-735-8350 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Classes are scheduled to begin in person Monday, August 24. All enrolled have been updated via email. AJA will continue to be guided by the five-stage model set forth by Austin-Travis County, Austin Public Health, the CDC, and the members of our health task force.
