Spring has sprung! Since the weather is so beautiful outside, the kids are making kites. This activity requires learning about drawing to scale, measurement, angles, symmetry, perimeter, area, and following written directions. While doing this project, each student learned that angles make just as much difference as lengths when drawing shapes. The learned how to use a protractor and immediately used it to transfer the angles on their diagrams to their drawings. Check back to see if their creations take flight!
